Assistant Director of Nursing Services

Job Description

The Assistant Director of Nursing Services must work alongside the Director of Nursing Services to direct the activities of personnel who provide healthcare and nursing services to patients.The Assistant Director of Nursing Services shares the following responsibilities with the Director of Nursing Services: selecting nursing department staff, completing employee appraisals, and conferring with physicians on an occasional basis to clarify medical orders and direct care. The Assistant Director of Nursing Services performs the duties of the Director of Nursing Services in the case of absence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing or Master’s Degree in Nursing/Hospital Administration
Current registered nursing license from country of professional practice
Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive clinical and administrative nursing experience
