Job Description
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the hospital in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and principles relating to private, not-for-profit healthcare and in keeping with the hospital’s goals and objectives. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for contributing to and collaborating with others to provide leadership and continuously improve processes in a manner aligned with the mission, vision, values, and strategic direction of the hospital. Establish credibility throughout the hospital and the Leadership Team as an effective problem- solver; respectful of others at all times and approachable as an expert and mentor to staff on all issues within span of control.
Qualifications
Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MA) or Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience; and five-plus years related experience in hospital and/or complex physician practice organization
Fully aligned with (able to articulate and exemplify) the mission, vision, and values of the hospital
An experienced, emotionally mature leader and financial executive with healthcare experience
High ethical standards and an appropriate professional image
Well-organized and self-directed, politically astute, and a team player
Intelligent and articulate, able to relate to team members at all levels and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
A good educator, transparent and able/eager to invest in professionally developing others
Well-versed in operating systems, quality and patient experience
Previous experience within a Middle Eastern Health Care setting ideal; experience in cross-cultural or multi-cultural context preferred
